B2 League top team - Nishinomiya S. (30-16) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Rizing (20-27) in Fukuoka 85-81. Nishinomiya S. made 30-of-38 charity shots (78.9 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Rizing was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for forward Matt Bonds (196-95, college: St.Michael's, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. Forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and forward Jahmar Thorpe (198-84, college: Houston) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Nishinomiya S. maintains first place with 30-16 record. Rizing lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 27 games lost. Nishinomiya S. will play against Sendai 89ers (#4) at home in the next round. Rizing will play against Bambitious N. in Nara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
