The game in Fukushima was also quite interesting. Third ranked Saga B. (26-21) played at the court of 6th ranked Fukushima (19-25). Saga B. managed to secure a 7-point victory 79-72 on Sunday. Fukushima was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 38 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field). American center Kenny Lawson (207-88, college: Creighton) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: CPP) answered with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Bahamas Mark StFort (200-88, college: Warner) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Fukushima. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Saga B. maintains third place with 26-21 record having three points less than leader Gunma. Fukushima lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 25 games lost. Saga B. will face Tokyo Z (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Fukushima will play against Aomori W. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
