B2 League top team - Gunma (43-3) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Kumamoto V. (18-27) 96-80. Gunma made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American power forward Justin Keenan (202-89, college: Ferris St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import center Brian Qvale (208-88, college: Montana) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Gunma's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and guard Kaito Ishikawa (188-90) added 12 points and 9 assists in the effort for Kumamoto V.Four Kumamoto V. players scored in double figures.
