Regular Season Round 16: Dreamers - Fubon Braves 94-99
Date: March 13, 2021
Very significant was Fubon Braves' (#1, 14-5) victory against 3rd ranked Dreamers (8-9) 99-94. They outrebounded Dreamers 61-41 including a 44-30 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dreamers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89, agency: BIG) supported him with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. Fubon Braves' coach Chin-Tse Hsu allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds by American guard Randall Walko (196, college: TCNJ) did not help to save the game for Dreamers. His fellow American import guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSUM) added 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Fubon Braves have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-5 record. Dreamers at the other side keep the third place with nine games lost. Fubon Braves will play against league's second-placed Pilots in Taoyuan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dreamers will play at home against Lioneers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
