Second Stage Round 8: MBJSM - Okzhetpes 59-78

An interesting game was played in Almaty where Okzhetpes (#8) rolled over host MBJSM (#5) with 19-point difference 78-59 on Friday evening. Okzhetpes forced 26 MBJSM turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Nadezhda Yakovleva (183-3) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Kamila Amanzholova (163-4) who added 18 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Okzhetpes players scored in double figures. Power forward Makpal Nusipova (182-99) responded with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Karina Olenberg (179-98) scored 7 points and 14 rebounds. MBJSM's coach Tatiyana Kondius rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Okzhetpes maintains eighth position with 2-20 record. MBJSM lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Astana Tigers. Okzhetpes will meet at home higher ranked Karaganda (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. MBJSM will play against Astana Tigers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
