Regular Season Round 15: Lioneers - Fubon Braves 105-109

An interesting game for Fubon Braves (13-5) which played against 4th placed Lioneers (4-14). First ranked Fubon Braves managed to get a 4-point victory 109-105. Fubon Braves made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. The former international swingman Wen-Cheng Tsai (190-85) accounted for 15 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Tanzanian center Hasheem Thabeet (218-87, college: UConn) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 17 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and American forward Branden Dawson (198-93, college: Michigan St.) added 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Lioneers in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Fubon Braves maintains first place with 13-5 record. Loser Lioneers stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Fubon Braves will meet Dreamers (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Lioneers will play against the league's second-placed Pilots in Taoyuan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
