The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Kyoto H.'s (13-29) home victory over 9th ranked San-en NeoPhoenix (10-32) 87-74 on Sunday. Kyoto H. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Jamaican power forward Kyle Hunt (208-89, college: USAO, agency: BIG) who recorded 21 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian power forward Stevan Jelovac (208-89, agency: BeoBasket) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kyoto H. maintains eighth position with 13-29 record. Loser San-en NeoPhoenix keeps the ninth place with 32 games lost. Kyoto H. will face higher ranked Toyota Alvark (#5) in Tokyo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. San-en NeoPhoenix will play on the road against Osaka E.
