Regular Season Round 44: Kagawa FA - Fukuoka R. 81-86

Round 44 most important game was a victory of Rizing over one of their biggest challengers Kagawa FA 86-81 on Saturday night. Rizing forced 22 Kagawa FA turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Kagawa FA helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. Forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Jahmar Thorpe (198-84, college: Houston) contributed with 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) replied with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) added 13 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Kagawa FA. Four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rizing (20-24) moved-up to fourth place. Kagawa FA at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 25 games lost. Rizing will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kagawa FA will play again at home against Rizing (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
