Regular Season Round 44: Saga B. - FE Nagoya 95-78

An interesting game for Saga B. (24-20) which hosted in Saga second-ranked FE Nagoya (24-18). Third ranked Saga B. had an easy win 95-78. Saga B. shot 61.4 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) who scored that evening 27 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and American center Kenny Lawson (207-88, college: Creighton) supported him with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Saga B. players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) by American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) did not help to save the game for FE Nagoya. His fellow American import power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) added 20 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Saga B. maintains third position with 24-20 record having three points less than leader Gunma. Loser FE Nagoya keeps the second place with 18 games lost. Saga B. will again meet at home league's second-placed FE Nagoya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. FE Nagoya will have a break next round.
