The most important game in the last round took place in Shanghai between second ranked Flying Leopards (33-7) and thirteenth ranked Sharks (19-21) on Saturday night. Flying Leopards were defeated by Sharks in a tough game on the road 115-122. Sharks looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Flying Leopards helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds and 16 assists. The other American import guard Marcus Denmon (191-90, college: Missouri, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 25 points and 5 assists for the winners. Sharks' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international point guard Jiwei Zhao (185-95) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists and the former international Ailun Guo (188-93) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Flying Leopards. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sharks have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain thirteenth position with 19-21 record. Flying Leopards at the other side keep the second place with seven games lost. Sharks are looking forward to face Long-Lions (#15) in Guangzhou in the next round.
