Regular Season Round 15: Fubon Braves - Lioneers 76-83

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Fubon Braves (13-5) against fourth ranked Lioneers on Wednesday night. Lioneers were defeated by fourth ranked Lioneers (4-14) 83-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fubon Braves. It was a good game for Tanzanian center Hasheem Thabeet (218-87, college: UConn) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Kuo-Hao Kao (178-98) contributed with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89, agency: BIG) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and Costa Rican-Belizean forward Charles Garcia (208-88, college: Seattle) added 11 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Fubon Braves. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lioneers maintains fourth place with 4-14 record. Fubon Braves at the other side still keep top position with five games lost. Lioneers are looking forward to face league's second-placed Pilots in Taoyuan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fubon Braves will play on the road against Dreamers in Changhua City and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
