Regular Season Round 43: Sendai 89ers - Kagawa FA 90-88

Fourth-ranked Kagawa FA (19-24) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Sendai 89ers (24-16). Sendai 89ers managed to secure only two-point victory 90-88. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kagawa FA. Sendai 89ers dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Kagawa FA's 38. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman LeBryan Nash (201-92, college: OK State) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. His fellow American import center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Sendai 89ers players scored in double figures. American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) answered with 27 points and 7 assists and point guard Takayuki Kodama (166-92) added 21 points and 5 assists in the effort for Kagawa FA. Kagawa FA's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sendai 89ers maintains fourth place with 24-16 record which they share with defeated Kagawa FA. Kagawa FA at the other side keeps the fourth position with 24 games lost. They share it with Fukuoka R.. Sendai 89ers will play against Yamagata (#5) on the road in the next round. Kagawa FA will play against Rizing and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
