Very expected game in Tokyo where 8th ranked Orange Vikings (14-26) were defeated by third ranked Koshigaya A. (28-13) 85-73 on Sunday. Koshigaya A. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: App State) fired 8 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) chipped in 14 points. Four Koshigaya A. players scored in double figures. American-Filipino forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: LBSU) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and American forward Perry Ellis (203-93, college: Kansas) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side.
