(17-2) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging their biggest opponent Denso Iris (15-4) 58-56 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Denso Iris. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-95) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. The former international center Stephanie Mawuli (181-98) accounted for 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Four Toyota A. players scored in double figures. International center Akaho Himawari (184-98) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Momoko Inai (166-95) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for Denso Iris in the defeat. Denso Iris' coach Marina Maljkovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Toyota A. have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place in West with 17-2 record. Denso Iris at the other side keep the second position with four games lost. Toyota A. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Denso Iris will play again at home against the league's leader Toyota A. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
