Regular Season Round 7: Iwate - Tokyo EX 62-78

The game between second ranked Iwate (10-4) and seventh ranked Tokyo EX (6-3) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Iwate was defeated by Tokyo EX in Iwate 78-62. Tokyo EX looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: Southern Miss) fired a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. His fellow American import forward Terrance King (198-90, college: ESU) chipped in 27 points and 6 rebounds. Four Tokyo EX players scored in double figures. Tokyo EX's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian forward Erik Nissen (206-95, college: Acadia) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Ito Ryota (177-92) added 7 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Tokyo EX moved-up to sixth place. Iwate at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Okayama. Tokyo EX will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Iwate will play on the road against Kanazawa in Ishikawa and is hoping to win this game.
