Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Tokyo: Haneda Vickies (#5) and Niigata R. (#6). Haneda Vickies (3-12) won against visiting Niigata R. (0-15) 78-72. Haneda Vickies players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Ogasawara Mina (177-97) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Okuda Hana (175-94) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Haneda Vickies players scored in double figures. Point guard Ayumi Chiba (167-96) answered with 26 points and 6 rebounds and center Raw Yoshinro (187-95) added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Niigata R.Niigata R.'s coach Kazuo Otaki tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Haneda Vickies maintains fifth place in East with 3-12 record. Niigata R. lost their fifteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 15 games lost. Haneda Vickies' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Niigata R..
