Very important is a home loss of second ranked Aishin Sea Horses (24-13) against sixth ranked Toyota Alvark (23-14) on Sunday night. Host Aishin Sea Horses were defeated by Toyota Alvark in Kariya 90-74. Toyota Alvark looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Greek DeShaun Thomas (201-91, college: Ohio St.) fired 28 points for the winners. American forward Kevin Jones (206-89, college: WVU) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. American power forward Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Kyle Collinsworth (198-91, college: BYU) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Toyota Alvark maintains sixth place with 23-14 record. Loser Aishin Sea Horses keep the second position with 13 games lost. They share it with Hitachi SRT and Toyama G.. Toyota Alvark will meet Niigata A. (#9) on the road in the next round. Aishin Sea Horses will play against Shimane Magic (#5) and hope to secure a win.
