Regular Season Round 5: Okayama - Aisin AW 66-76

An interesting game for Aisin AW (5-3) which played road game in Okayama against 4th placed Okayama (6-4). Third ranked Aisin AW managed to get a 10-point victory 76-66. Aisin AW outrebounded Okayama 46-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was Kyle Richardson (200-91, college: Portland St.) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 19 rebounds. Center Markhuri Sanders-Frison (203-88, college: California) chipped in 8 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Chris Washburn (203-93, college: TCU) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: FAU) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Aisin AW. Despite that victory Aisin AW went down to fifth position due to points difference. Okayama lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the third place with four games lost. Aisin AW's next round opponent will be higher ranked Shizuoka (#4) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Okayama will play against Saitama and hope to win that game.
