Diamond Dolphins outscored guests from Akita 85-57. Diamond Dolphins outrebounded Akita Northern Happinets 44-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American forward Jeff Ayres (206-87, college: ASU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 18 rebounds. The other American import forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri) contributed with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. American-Panamanian center Javier Carter (203-91, college: USA) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Kengo Nomoto (196-92) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Akita Northern Happinets. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Diamond Dolphins maintains third position with 22-14 record having five points less than leader Tochigi B., which they share with Alvark T. Akita Northern Happinets lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 15 games lost. Diamond Dolphins will face again Akita Northern Happinets (#7) at home in the next round.
