Regular Season Round 15: Hitachi Cougars - Haneda Vickies 77-62

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Hitachi Cougars (8-3) beat 5th ranked Haneda Vickies (2-9) in Hitachinaka 77-62. Hitachi Cougars players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Rika Tanimura (185-93) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Guard Yuki Kitamura (173-94) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Ogasawara Mina (177-97) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Takano Hashikouta (168-95) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Haneda Vickies' coach Koju Munakata rotated ten players saving starting five for next games. Hitachi Cougars moved-up to second place in East, which they share with Fujitsu RW. Haneda Vickies at the other side keep the fifth position with nine games lost. Hitachi Cougars' next round opponent will be again Haneda Vickies (#5) in Tokyo.
