Regular Season Round 15: Aishin AW - Toyota A. 49-100

WJBL top team - Toyota A. (13-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Aishin AW (3-12) in Anjo 100-49. Toyota A. dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Aishin AW's 36. Toyota A. forced 22 Aishin AW turnovers and outrebounded them 49-32 including 18 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Aishin AW's players. The best player for the winners was Senegalese center Sokhna Sylla (200-97) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. The former international power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-95) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Toyota A. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was international Kiho Miyashita (178-98) who recorded 8 points and 5 rebounds and Haruki Takahara (174-99) added 9 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota A. maintains first place in West with 13-2 record. Aishin AW lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. Toyota A. will have a break next round. Aishin AW will play again at home against the league's leader Toyota A. (#1) and hope to win that game.
