Regular Season Round 37: Saga B. - Fukuoka R. 92-70

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Rizing (17-20) was crushed on the road by second ranked Saga B. (22-15) 92-70 on Sunday. Saga B. forced 21 Rizing turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Saga B. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Rizing was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) fired 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Argentinian Marcos Mata (200-86) chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds and forward Jumpei Honda (190-88) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Saga B.. They keep a position of league leader. Rizing lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the fifth place with 20 games lost. Saga B. will face league's second-placed Nishinomiya S. in Hyogo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rizing will play at home against the league's second-placed Ibaraki R. and hope to win that game.
