Rather expected game in Hiroshima where 10th ranked Dragonflies (5-29) were defeated by eighth ranked Shimane Magic (12-22) 86-71 on Sunday. Shimane Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American DeMon Brooks (202-92, college: Davidson) scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) chipped in 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Dragonflies' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shimane Magic moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Dragonflies lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the tenth position with 29 games lost. Shimane Magic will face Shiga L-Stars (#7) at home in the next round. Dragonflies will play against the league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa and hope to win that game.
