An exciting game was when Second ranked Pilots faced 4th placed Lioneers. Pilots (6-5) smashed Lioneers (3-9) 111-82. Pilots forced 22 Lioneers turnovers and outrebounded them 52-31 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Lioneers' players. Pilots brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Lioneers were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Davon Reed (198-95, college: Miami, FL) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Keng-Yu Chang (186-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Julian Wright (203-87, college: Kansas, agency: Alti Sport) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Tanzanian center Hasheem Thabeet (218-87, college: UConn) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 blocks in the effort for Lioneers. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pilots maintains second place with 6-5 record having five points less than leader Fubon Braves. Lioneers at the other side stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Pilots will play against league's leader Fubon Braves in Taipei in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lioneers will play at home against Dreamers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
