CBA top team - Guandong Tigers (33-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Heroes (21-16) in Dongguan 131-112. Guandong Tigers made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Heroes turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Heroes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American MarShon Brooks (197-89, college: Providence) who led his team to a victory with 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists for the winners. The former international center HanLin Tao (208-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Troy Gillenwater (205-88, college: NM State) added 26 points in the effort for Heroes. Four Guandong Tigers and five Heroes players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guandong Tigers have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 33-4 record. Heroes at the other side keep the seventh place with 16 games lost.
