Regular Season Round 17: Kazygurt - Irtysh 95-90

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Kazygurt (13-4) beat 5th ranked Irtysh (8-10) in Shymkent 95-90. Kazygurt made 25-of-31 charity shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Strangely Irtysh outrebounded Kazygurt 52-39 including 19 on the offensive glass. Irtysh was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Zhalgasbek Kadyr (180-97) stepped up and scored 31 points for the winners and forward Aleksei Vereshagin (200-92) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Dias Arykov (194-99) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Victor Verzun (197-1) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Four Kazygurt and five Irtysh players scored in double figures. Irtysh's coach Zhuldys Baydusenova rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kazygurt maintains second place with 13-4 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Bars. Irtysh lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with ten games lost.
