There was no surprise in Taiyuan where 15th ranked Loongs (12-21) were defeated by fourth ranked Flying Tigers (26-11) 112-101. Flying Tigers forced 22 Loongs turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Qi Zhou (217-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds. Lithuanian power forward Donatas Motiejunas (213-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American swingman Ricky Ledo (201-92, college: Providence) replied with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and center ZhaoBao Ge (213-92) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Loongs. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Flying Tigers maintains fourth position with 26-11 record. Loongs lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 21 games lost. Flying Tigers will play against Ducks (#12) in Beijing in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Loongs will play on the road against Pioneers in Tianjin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
