Regular Season Round 39: Beijing D. - Jilin NE T. 102-105

Twelfth-ranked Ducks (15-18) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Jilin Tigers (22-15) in Beijing on Sunday. The visitors from Changchun managed to secure only three-point victory 105-102. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ducks. Jilin Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) who scored 38 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Yuxing Jiang (193-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard XiaoYu Liu (188-89) who recorded 16 points and 5 assists and the former international point guard Shuo Fang (190-90) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Four Jilin Tigers and five Ducks players scored in double figures. Ducks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Jilin Tigers maintains fifth place with 22-15 record. Ducks at the other side keep the twelfth position with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
