Regular Season Round 35: Nishinomiya S. - Kagawa FA 92-82

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Kagawa FA (15-20) lost to third ranked Nishinomiya S. (19-15) in Hyogo 82-92. Nishinomiya S. players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Matt Bonds (196-95, college: St.Michael's, agency: Duran International) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. Senegalese center Cheikh Mbodj (208-87, college: Cincinnati, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. Nishinomiya S.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) produced 38 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-96) added 14 points and 15 rebounds respectively for the guests. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Nishinomiya S.. They moved-up to second place. Kagawa FA at the other side keeps the sixth position with 20 games lost. Nishinomiya S.'s next round opponent will be Tokyo Z (#8) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Kagawa FA will play against Yamagata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
