Regular Season Round 14: Kazygurt - Karaganda 65-57

An interesting game for Kazygurt (11-3) which hosted in Shymkent 4th ranked Karaganda (9-6). Second ranked Kazygurt managed to get a 8-point victory 65-57. Kazygurt forced 26 Karaganda turnovers. Forward Aleksei Vereshagin (200-92) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Point guard Zhalgasbek Kadyr (180-97) contributed with 21 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the winners. Four Kazygurt players scored in double figures. Guard Ilyas Shakir (188-0) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and center Muha Nikolay (212-99) added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Karaganda. Karaganda's coach Alexander Tyutyunik rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kazygurt have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-3 record having just three point less than leader Bars. Newly promoted Karaganda keeps the fourth place with six games lost.
