Regular Season Round 34: Fukushima - Tokyo Z 81-62

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Tokyo Z (4-28) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Fukushima (15-17) 81-62 on Saturday. Fukushima dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Z's 22. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: CPP) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Finnish-American power forward Erik Murphy (208-90, college: Florida) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds. Five Fukushima players scored in double figures. Guard Takumi Masuko (186-91) produced 20 points and 7 assists and Nigerian-American center Nnanna Egwu (211-92, college: Illinois) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fukushima maintains sixth position with 15-17 record. Tokyo Z lost thirteenth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 28 games lost. Fukushima will face again Tokyo Z (#8) at home in the next round.
