Regular Season Round 31: Yokohama BC - Hiroshima D. 70-73

There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Yokohama BC (10-21) was edged at home by tenth ranked Dragonflies (5-26) 73-70 on Saturday. Dragonflies made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Strangely Yokohama BC outrebounded Dragonflies 45-30 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. American power forward Jamari Traylor (203-92, college: Kansas) helped adding 8 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Robert Carter (206-94, college: Maryland) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and Czech Patrik Auda (204-89, college: Seton Hall, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Dragonflies maintains tenth place with 5-26 record. Yokohama BC lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with 21 games lost. Dragonflies will have a break next round.
