Very important is a loss of third ranked Bank of Taiwan (6-14) against fifth ranked Pauian (5-15) on Thursday night. Bank of Taiwan was defeated by Pauian 82-69. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Bank of Taiwan's 30. Pauian players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Bank of Taiwan's players. Worth to mention a great performance of center Dan Qiao (200-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Power forward Yen-Tsung Shih (194-92) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Pauian players scored in double figures. The former international Wei-Chen Chou (188-96) replied with 22 points and 7 rebounds and forward Youren Wu (175-93) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bank of Taiwan. Bank of Taiwan's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Pauian maintains fifth position with 5-15 record. Bank of Taiwan lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with 14 games lost. Pauian will play against league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bank of Taiwan will play against Jutai Techn. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
