The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Tochigi B. (24-6) at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were rolled over by seventh ranked Toyota Alvark (18-12) 83-59. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Tochigi B.. Toyota Alvark looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. The former international Daiki Tanaka (191-91) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. American power forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) replied with 8 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Tochigi B.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota Alvark have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 18-12 record. Tochigi B. at the other side still keeps top place with six games lost. Toyota Alvark are looking forward to face higher ranked Toyama G. (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tochigi B. will play against Hitachi Sunrockers (#3) in Tokyo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
