Regular Season Round 29: Kyoto H. - Ryukyu GK 87-85

The most exciting game of round 29 in the B1 League took place in Kyoto. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Ryukyu GK (20-9) to eighth ranked Kyoto H. (8-21) 87-85 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was center David Simon (208-82, college: PFW) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Rayvonte Rice (193-92, college: Illinois) chipped in 23 points. Forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis, agency: Wasserman) produced 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kyoto H. maintains eighth place with 8-21 record. Ryukyu GK at the other side keeps the second position with nine games lost. Kyoto H. are looking forward to face league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ryukyu GK will play at home against Shiga L-Stars and is hoping to win this game.
