An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Tokyo. Third ranked Koshigaya A. faced 4th placed Nishinomiya S.. Host Koshigaya A. (19-11) defeated guests from Hyogo (16-15) 98-89. Koshigaya A. looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a great evening for American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: App State) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Guard Tomoya Hasegawa (185-89) helped adding 21 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. At the losing side American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Matt Bonds (196-95, college: St.Michael's, agency: Duran International) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Koshigaya A. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 19-11 record having thirteen points less than leader Saga B. Loser Nishinomiya S. keeps the fourth position with 15 games lost. Koshigaya A. will again meet at home Nishinomiya S. (#4) in the next round. Nishinomiya S. will have a break next round.
