Regular Season Round 31: Saga B. - Yamagata 72-73

Top ranked Saga B. (19-13) recorded its thirteenth loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by sixth ranked Yamagata (15-17) 73-72. American forward Andrew Randall (198-90, college: Temple) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import forward Lance Goulbourne (203-89, college: Vanderbilt) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Yamagata's coach Miodrag Rajkovic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) produced 24 points, 5 assists and 5 steals and American center Kenny Lawson (207-88, college: Creighton) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Yamagata moved-up to fifth place. Saga B. lost fourth consecutive game. They still keep top position with 13 games lost. They share it with Sendai 89ers. Yamagata will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Saga B. will play again at home against Yamagata and is hoping to win this game.
