Important game to mention about took place in Hamamatsu. Ninth ranked San-en NeoPhoenix (6-22) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 10th ranked Dragonflies (4-24) 81-79 in the fight for the ninth place. San-en NeoPhoenix looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Jamaican power forward Kyle Hunt (208-89, college: USAO, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks and Serbian power forward Stevan Jelovac (208-89, agency: BeoBasket) who added 18 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four San-en NeoPhoenix players scored in double figures. At the losing side Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit) scored 19 points. Dragonflies' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. San-en NeoPhoenix maintains ninth position with 6-22 record. Dragonflies lost fifteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the tenth place with 24 games lost. San-en NeoPhoenix will face again Dragonflies (#10) in Hiroshima in the next round.
