Regular Season Round 2: Tokyo EX - Shizuoka 83-85

A very close game took place in Tokyo between Shizuoka and Tokyo EX. Shizuoka got a very close victory on the road over Tokyo EX. Shizuoka managed to escape with a 2-point win 85-83 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Shizuoka made 28-of-32 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. American forward Novar Gadson (201-89, college: Rider) notched 27 points and 7 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and Beninese power forward Muusa Dama (207-96, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) supported him with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Even 23 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) by American swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: Southern Miss) did not help to save the game for Tokyo EX. Kei Ogura (190-94) added 14 points for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Shizuoka will meet at home Okayama in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tokyo EX will have a break next round.
