Regular Season Round 28: Shimane SM - Alvark T. 64-86

There was a minor upset when their close opponent Shimane Magic (9-19) was crushed at home by seventh ranked Toyota Alvark (16-12) 86-64 on Saturday. Toyota Alvark looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Greek DeShaun Thomas (201-91, college: Ohio St.) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 4 assists and American forward Kevin Jones (206-89, college: WVU) who added 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Reid Travis (203-95, college: Kentucky, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import DeMon Brooks (202-92, college: Davidson) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota Alvark moved-up to third place, which they share with Nagoya DD. Shimane Magic lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 19 games lost. Toyota Alvark will have a break next round. Shimane Magic will play again at home against Toyota Alvark (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
