MBJSM dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Karaganda's 22. MBJSM forced 20 Karaganda turnovers and outrebounded them 39-17 including a 27-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by forward Diana Bushmeleyeva (178-1) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Makpal Nusipova (182-99) supported her with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Even 16 points, 6 assists and 7 steals by guard Evelina Borissova (167-99) did not help to save the game for Karaganda. The former international guard Mariya Astapenko (178-89) added 13 points and 4 assists. Karaganda's coach Aleksander Gussev rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted MBJSM maintains fourth position with 8-4 record. Karaganda at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. MBJSM will play against league's second-placed Turan in Turkistan in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Karaganda will play on the road against the league's leader Kaspiy Aktau (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
