Regular Season Round 18: Qazvin - Rafsanjan 56-74

There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Qazvin (5-5) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Rafsanjan (4-5) 74-56 on Friday. The former international swingman Saeid Mohammadi (187-92) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Vahid Eslami (197) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Rafsanjan players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Ehsan Dalirzahan (186-0) with 14 points and 6 assists and American-German center Waverly Austin (211-91, college: Oregon) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rafsanjan moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Kerman and Kouchin. Loser Qazvin keeps the fourth position with five games lost.
