No shocking result in a game when second ranked Guandong Tigers (27-4) beat 11th ranked Blue Whales (15-16) in Dongguan 107-92. Guandong Tigers forced 21 Blue Whales turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Blue Whales helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Hao Zhang (205-2) who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. American MarShon Brooks (197-89, college: Providence) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. Point guard Tangwen Yuan (185-0) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and Ruoyu Su (206-91) added 23 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Four Blue Whales players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Guandong Tigers. Defending champion maintains second place with 27-4 record having just three points less than leader Liaoning FL. Blue Whales at the other side keep the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Guandong Tigers' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Sturgeons (#19) in Jinjiang which should be an easy win for them.
