No shocking result in a game when Shizuoka beat on the road Tokyo EX 79-72 on Friday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shizuoka made 7 blocks. Beninese power forward Muusa Dama (207-96, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) notched 30 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and American forward Novar Gadson (201-89, college: Rider) supported him with 16 points and 7 assists. Even a double-double of 15 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals by American swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: Southern Miss) did not help to save the game for Tokyo EX. Maltese center Samuel Deguara (225-91) added 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the hosts. Four Tokyo EX players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shizuoka will meet at home Okayama in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tokyo EX will have a break next round.
