Regular Season Round 8: Bank of Taiwan - Pauian 78-75

A very close game was the one between Bank of Taiwan and Pauian. Fourth ranked Bank of Taiwan (6-11) got a very close victory over 5th ranked Pauian (4-14). Bank of Taiwan managed to escape with a 3-point win 78-75 in the fight for the fourth place. Bank of Taiwan forced 24 Pauian turnovers. The winners were led by forward Lin Zhi-wei (200-92) who scored that evening 15 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and swingman You-Xu Chen (195-90) supported him with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Bank of Taiwan's coach used entire bench in such tough game. Even a double-double of 21 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) by center Dan Qiao (200-92) did not help to save the game for Pauian. Guard Jun-Xiang Lu (188-97) added 17 points and 4 steals for Bank of Taiwan. Bank of Taiwan maintains fourth position with 6-11 record. Loser Pauian stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. Bank of Taiwan will meet league's leader Taiwan Beer in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Pauian will play against the league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen (#2) and hope to secure a win.
