Regular Season Round 5: Fubon Braves - Dreamers 115-95

An exciting game was when Leader Fubon Braves faced 3rd placed Dreamers. Fubon Braves (6-0) smashed Dreamers (1-4) 115-95. Fubon Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Dreamers' 28. They outrebounded Dreamers 57-37 including a 45-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fubon Braves players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Dreamers were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Chih-Chieh Lin (192-82) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. American guard Steph Hicks (198-92, college: CSUN) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and the former international guard Chin-Min Yang (195-84) added 16 points in the effort for Dreamers. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fubon Braves have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Dreamers at the other side keep the third position with four games lost. Fubon Braves will play against bottom-ranked Lioneers (#4) in Hsinchu in the next round. Dreamers will play on the road against the league's second-placed Pilots in Taoyuan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
