Seventh-ranked Raad (1-8) made lots of trouble for third ranked Exxon SC (6-2) in Mashhad on Friday. The visitors from Teheran managed to secure only three-point victory 61-58. However their fans expected much easier game. 27 personal fouls committed by Raad helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Croatian power forward Zoran Vrkic (203-87, agency: SDJ Sports) who scored 17 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Guard Behshad Arabzadeh (195-0) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Adnan Douraghi who recorded 19 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 8 steals and N Fathi added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Exxon SC have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 6-2 record having four points less than leader Mahram. Raad lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost.
