Bottom-ranked Al Rayyan (0-11) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 11th consecutive match to third ranked Al Shamal (8-4) 75-74. The winners were led by Georgian Mikhail Berishvili (204-87) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and Lebanese guard Wael Arakji (194-94) supported him with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds by international center Meho Haracic (213-98) did not help to save the game for Al Rayyan. American Tavarion Nix (201-92, college: Midwestern St.) added 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Al Rayyan players scored in double figures. Al Shamal have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Al Shamal went down to fourth position due to points difference. Al Rayyan at the other side still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Al Shamal will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al Rayyan's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Qatar Club.
