Regular Season Round 12: Raad - Parsa 78-95

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Mashhad: Parsa (#5) and Raad (#7). Raad was smashed at home by 17 points 78-95 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Parsa looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Saleh Foroutannik (207-94) who scored 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian guard Aleksandar Ponjavic (200-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Saleh Moradian who recorded 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals and forward Mohammadamin Kamalvand (196-98) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Parsa (3-3) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Kerman and Bandar Abbass. Raad at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost.
