Regular Season Round 12: AL-Adhamiya - Al-Hashd 69-78

Bottom-ranked AL-Adhamiya (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 78-69 loss to top-ranked Al-Hashd (8-0) in Baghdad on Friday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Ahmed Al-Jashaami (171-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and Sajjad Al-Saedi who added 20 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Hayder Khudhair with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Rasheed Al-Ammari (163-94) scored 19 points. Four AL-Adhamiya players scored in double figures. Al-Hashd have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Shorta and Al Naft. Loser AL-Adhamiya still closes the standings with eight games lost.
